Legend of Zelda Wedding Commission

We recently relived our largest commission to date for a customer's wedding. The commission involved creating the iconic Master Sword, Hylian Shield, and Bow of Light from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The project was a true showcase of our 3D printing, modelling, hand painting, colour matching, and airbrushing skills.

One of the biggest challenges of this project was ensuring that the finish of each piece was perfect. We used multiple finishing techniques, including automotive filler primer and sanding for the sword. The shield and bow, on the other hand, required stronger techniques, which is where resin coating XTC-3D came in. This coating helped to strengthen the prints, but it has a habit of running and dripping, which made sanding more challenging. This was particularly true for the Bow of Light and its arrow, as they have quite fragile detailing.

Despite these challenges, we were able to produce stunning replicas of these iconic Zelda items that looked as though they had just come straight out of the game. The level of detail in each piece was incredible, and the hand painting and airbrushing helped to bring out the colours and textures of each item.

Overall, this commission was a huge success, and we were thrilled to have had the opportunity to bring these amazing items to life for our customer's special day. It was an honour to be part of such a significant event, and we look forward to taking on more challenging projects like this in the future.
